Meet Ian W. Davids, Founder and Managing Director of International Distribution & Transport Ltd (IDT), whose professional journey is as dynamic as his personal passions.
Ian’s career began as a management trainee in shipping, where he honed his expertise at London’s Port of Felixstowe before moving into freight forwarding with the Trans Global Group. Over 16 years, he rose to the role of Commercial Director before taking a bold leap—founding IDT in 2006, a company built on the promise of delivering “service beyond the call.”
His leadership extends into industry circles, serving as Chairman of The London Freight Club in 2022, an honorary role awarded by peers.
But Ian’s story doesn’t stop at boardrooms and freight networks—he’s also an avid cyclist and philanthropist, raising over $40,000 for healthcare through epic rides across Britain and Europe, often dressed as superheroes with friends. Whether it’s conquering the French Alps, racing in the Olympic Velodrome, or cycling from London to Paris, Ian embodies determination both in business and in life.
